Tech internships for engineering and non-engineering students

Our tech internships follow the same tools and workflows our delivery teams use. Choose a track, then choose a duration of up to six months.

How it works

How tech internships at Icanio work, step by step

Five steps take you from application to a verified certificate. Our team stays with you at each one.

  1. 1Step 1

Apply and talk to a counsellor

Send the short form. Our team calls you within one working day to understand your goal, year of study and preferred start date.

  2. 2Step 2

    Pick your track and duration

Choose one of our 15 tech internships and a duration from 15 days to six months, offline, online or part time.

  3. 3Step 3

Learn in phases with a mentor

Each track moves through structured phases. A working engineer reviews your code or deliverables every week.

  4. 4Step 4

    Ship a live project

You work on a brief derived from Icanio client scenarios, in sprints, with the same review standards as our internal teams.

  5. 5Finish

    Get certified and referred

Finish with a certificate, a portfolio review and interview practice. Top performers are referred to the Icanio talent team.

Why Icanio

Learn from engineers who build real products

Our trainers are not full-time lecturers. They are engineers, architects and product managers on active Icanio client projects.

Icanio Technologies builds AI, cloud, data and software systems for more than 100 businesses. Icanio Tech School brings that same expertise into structured learning. The person reviewing your pull request is someone who reviews pull requests for clients every week.

That changes what tech internships teach you. You pick up production coding habits, not just syntax. You see how architecture decisions are made, how agile teams run a sprint and what hiring managers actually screen for. Curriculum is written by Icanio engineers from live project experience and refreshed every cohort.

In our experience, the students who get hired fastest are not the ones with the most certificates. They are the ones who can explain a real project they built, the trade-offs they made and what they would do differently. Our tech internships are designed to give you exactly that story.

  • Every trainer in our tech internships has 3+ years of client delivery experience
  • Code reviews follow internal Icanio standards
  • Trainers are background verified by Icanio HR
  • Student feedback is reviewed every cohort

Students in a hands-on technical workshop by Icanio Tech School

Beyond code

Student Development Program and Hands-On Workshops

Most campus training focuses on technical skills alone. Many graduates then struggle in the first IT job, not because they cannot code, but because they are not ready for a stand-up, a sprint deadline or a client call.

Our Student Development Program fixes that with nine modules built on real IT workplace scenarios, from professional communication to leadership in technology roles. Alongside tech internships, our workshops add short, practical exposure to emerging technologies, from half-day sessions to multi-day formats.

  • Nine soft skill modules taught through IT workplace scenarios
  • Workshops in Python, web development, data science, AI and more
  • Interview preparation and career roadmap planning
